caters to Filipino expatriates who send money to their loved ones in the
Philippines.
The company operates three corporate locations in Canada, and has mobilized a
network of agents servicing customers from as far West as Vancouver to as far
East as Nova Scotia. Its dedication to quality service and personalized
assistance eventually earned for the company its reputation as the largest,
safest, fastest and the most reliable money remittance company between Canada
and the Philippines.
At present Mabini Express also remits directly to its partners in Hongkong,
serving a growing clientele based in the said territory. Expansion to other
country-destinations is currently being explored.

Inspired Beginnings
In 1979, spouses Jesus and Teresita Mallari ventured into financial services by
establishing Tivoli Money Changer. Armed with a sensible business acumen and
sound judgement, they started to build a steady client base among Overseas
Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families. The undertaking produced 5 foreign
exchange outlets; the main branch was located in Ermita, Mabini. Mr. and Mrs.
Mallari honed their expertise and competence in financial services, raising the
bar further by legitimizing operations with proper government regulations and
registrations. With OFWs at the heart of these enterprises, the joint endeavor
of Kuya Jess and Ate Tess -- as they are more fondly called -- soon took on a
philanthropic bent: to help more and more fellowmen cope with the financial woes
of the global economy. The couple's business venture flourished, eventually
prompting it to branch out into the lending industry with the creation of the
Tivoli Pawnshop in 1985. In 1991, the family migrated to Canada , bringing with
them their noble efforts to continue servicing fellow Filipino expatriates. As a
tribute to the company's inspired beginnings in the heart of Manila , the
company was named Mabini Express, Inc. This respectable name pays homage as well
to one of our nation's most revered heroes, Apolinario Mabini, the Sublime
Paralytic who was able to rise above physical ailments to become the Brains of
the Philippine Revolution. Auspiciously, Mabini Express now helps and assists
the unsung heroes and champions of the economy, the Overseas Filipino Workers.
Since then until now, the services being offered by Mabini Express have been
embraced by Filipinos based in Canada , creating for the company a distinct
niche in the money remittance market between the two countries. Meanwhile, the
Canada-Philippines link has already expanded to include Hongkong. Expansions in
other major destinations are currently underway to reach out to more Filipino
expatriates worldwide. |
